The prevailing premise of the Energy Methods is that the flow and balance of the body’s electromagnetic and more subtle energies are important for physical, spiritual, and emotional health, and for fostering well-being.
• EFT and Matrix Reimprinting are based on the emerging field of energy psychology and seek to address imbalances within a person’s energy system, as well as the energetic influence of thoughts, beliefs, and emotions on the body. They are based on ancient Chinese acupuncture and are believed to balance an individual’s energy system with a gentle tapping procedure which stimulates designated acupoints points on the face and body while focusing on issues of emotional intensity in order to release the intensity and reframe the issues. Matrix Reimprinting is considered an extension of EFT; however, it differs from EFT since it’s based on the premise that the subtle energies are trapped in the energy field/matrix which surrounds each individual and not in the body-mind brain.
• The Emotion Code/Body Code system is based on the newly emerging field of energy medicine. This energy-based system was developed by chiropractor Bradley Nelson and is designed to allow the practitioner and client to communicate directly with the client’s subconscious mind and to use Body Code Mind Maps to correct energy imbalances for the purpose of releasing trapped emotional energy and to help create optimal health.
• Although the Energy Methods appear to have promising emotional, spiritual, and physical health benefits, they have yet to be fully researched by the Western academic, medical, and psychological communities. Therefore, the Energy Methods are considered experimental and the extent of their effectiveness, as well as their risks and benefits, are not fully known. The Energy Methods are self-regulated and the Province of British Columbia does not license any practitioners of the Energy Methods and considers them to bealternative or complementary healing methods.
• While energy medicine uses the term medicine and EFT and Matrix Reimprinting are based on the field ofenergy psychology, it does not imply that, as a practitioner of the Energy Methods, Sandy Davis is practicing medicine or psychology. You understand when using an Energy Method with a client, Sandy Davis is not “diagnosing” or “treating” the physical body which is the domain of the veterinary/medical fields and other allied health care professionals but instead is connecting to the energy or subtle “bodies” of the client that makes it possible to manifest a change or transformation which is then experienced directly by the client. You understand there is a distinction between “healing” using the Energy Methods and the practice of medicine, psychology, or any other licensed health care practice.
